Hydroponic and Heirloom Tomatoes

Fresh from the vine to you, we ship our hydroponic tomatoes in approximately 4-5 lb boxes. We would be glad to mix regular and heirloom tomato types for your order. Please specify the number of pounds of tomatoes you would like of each tomato variety, and please total 4 lbs per box you're ordering. Packaging, handling, and shipping are extra.

Hints about Shenandoah Farms' Beef Orders
- There is approximately 30-35% shrinkage from the hanging weight, yielding the pounds of beef you will take home. We will work with you to determine your custom cutting instructions following receipt of your order.
- For Example: For a whole beef weighing 1,100 pounds live weight, hanging weight of approximately 715 pounds after butchering, you would take home approximately 455 pounds of wholesome, free-range, natural beef. The $2.69-per-pound price of the hanging weight averages out to approximately $4.23 per pound for the 455 pounds after the bones and trimmings are taken from the carcass during the cutting and wrapping phase.
- There is always more ground beef than you may think.
- Ground beef can be however lean you prefer. Some folks think 20% fat has the best taste—you decide. The butcher can go from regular ground beef (approximately 30% fat) to extra lean (approximately 5-10% fat). Remember, the more lean, the less ground beef and the fewer other cuts. Cuts like Chuck Roast, for example, will yield approximately 15% ground beef.
- Price includes freezer wrap. Vacuum seal wrap is available at an additional 15¢ per hanging weight pound. All one- and two-pound packages of ground beef are wrapped in freezer paper. Higher weights of ground beef are packaged in freezer bags.
- You may order custom packages of beef. You would need to inform us of the cuts you desire along with the total pounds or number of pieces per cut in order for us to price the custom package. Your custom package can be as small or as large as you prefer.
- All beef will be frozen when you receive it unless you specify that you prefer fresh non-frozen cuts. The non-frozen cuts must be picked up within 24 hours of butchering. We are flexible in scheduling the butchering in order to meet your pickup availability.
